María-Elisa Heg is Houston Center for Contemporary Craft's Digital Content Manager, a cartoonist and co-organizer with Zine Fest Houston, a proud Mom, and a passionate early music enthusiast. She has worked in the field of craft since 2018, where she served as the Windgate Curatorial Fellow at HCCC till 2021, when she transitioned into Marketing & Communications as the museum's newly created Digital Content Manager. Overseeing social media, publicity, video and audio production, and much more for a small department, she embraces the craft ethos of collaboration and skill-sharing in her work. As part of the organizing team of a three-decade-long self-publishing festival, she brings an enthusiastic and longtime defense of tactility, connection, and authenticity to her efforts.
