About me
Mark earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, an MA from New York University, and a Doctor of Education from Florida International University, with a focus on arts, literacy, and learning technologies. He has presented nationally and internationally on technology in museums as well as on art education theory and research, and has contributed to publications in books and scholarly journals. His professional experience includes work with institutions such as the Lowe Art Museum, Miami‑Dade College, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Museum of Arts and Design, The Wolfsonian–FIU, and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for MCN (Museum Computer Network), a peer reviewer for the Journal of Museum Education, a National Program Committee member for AAM, Chair‑elect of AAM’s EdCom network, and a member of AAM’s Media and Technology Network.
Currently the Assistant Director of Digital Experiences at The Wolfsonian–FIU, Mark contributes to strategic planning, interpretive and technology initiatives, exhibition and program development, digital marketing, and evaluation and assessment. His work sits at the intersection of art, engagement, and technology.
