About me
Summer L. Hamilton is the Digital Community Partnerships Specialist at the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum where she leads public engagement programs like Wikipedia edit-a-thons. Previously, she was an assistant research professor of digital scholarship at The Pennsylvania State University where she co-led public transcription programs focused on Black digital research. Summer earned her PhD in English from Southern Methodist University. She also holds an MA in English from Southern Methodist University and a BS in Computer Science from Christian Brothers University.
