About me
Esther Choy is the founder of Hong Kong XR Museum and the creative developer behind Envic, an independent studio formerly known as Estavrse. Through this work, she creates immersive cultural and educational experiences across AR, VR, social XR, and AI-assisted storytelling. Her work focuses on helping museums, nonprofits, and educators use emerging technology with greater care, accessibility, and long-term purpose.
With over 10 years of experience designing spatial and interactive experiences for brands including Kellogg’s, Pepsi, and Captain Morgan, Esther brings her corporate experiences to museum technology conversations. Her cultural storytelling work has been presented across more than 10 cities, generated over 123,000 online interactions. She also received recognition from Meta Horizon Creator Program and the Snap Spectacles Community, including Best Remixable Simulation Game for I ❤️ Tea Café: Remixable and runner-up recognition for CantoSpark, an AR Cantonese learning experience for Snap Spectacles.
She has also mentored emerging XR creators at the University of Illinois Chicago, spoken at GANAS Tech Expo, led professional development for Chicago Public School teachers, and shared perspectives on immersive learning and digital advocacy through FOXLive, SBS Australia, and Radio Free Asia.
